Effect: You change from your humanoid form to dragon form, or vice-versa. The dragon form is your size and resembles a dragon of your chosen heritage.

While in dragon form, you gain a natural attack. Your natural attack is a melee weapon and implement with which you are proficient. It is part of the light blade group, deals 1d8 damage, and has a +3 proficiency bonus. At 5th level and every five levels thereafter, it gains a +1 enhancement bonus to attack and damage, and deals an extra 1d6 damage per plus on a critical hit.

You cannot use the properties and powers of magic items you wear, but not the properties of weapons, implements, or wonderous items. While equipment is part of your dragon form, it cannot be removed, and anything in a container is inaccessible.

In addition, your dragonic heritage determines the keyword type of your draconic attack powers and grants you an additional benefit, as detailed below

  • Black: Your dragon transient attack powers deal acid damage. In addition, you gain swamp walk and the aquatic subtype.
  • Blue: Your dragon transient attack powers deal lightning damage and you can exclude any number of targets from those attacks.
  • Green: Your dragon transient attack powers deal poison damage and targets hit by those attack take a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of their next turn.
  • Red: Your dragon transient attack powers deal fire damage and targets take an extra 1d8 points of fire damage on a hit or miss.
  • White: Your dragon transient attack powers deal cold damage and targets are slowed until the end of their next turn.

While in dragon form, you also gain resist to the type of energy associated with your dragon heritage equal to 5 + 1/2 your level.
